Delete Your PawPal Account

You have the right to delete your PawPal account at any time. This page describes how, what happens, and what to expect.

This page satisfies App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) requiring an in-app account deletion option, and exists in compliance with the right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR (the "right to be forgotten").

How to delete your account

In the PawPal app:

1. Open PawPal
2. Go to Profile → Account & settings → Privacy & data → Delete account
3. Type DELETE to confirm
4. You will be signed out and your account will become inaccessible immediately

By email:

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@nlongvity.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."

We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days, per Article 12 GDPR.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account in the app (Profile → Account & settings → Privacy & data → Delete account) is immediate and permanent. Requests by email are completed within 30 days.

• Your account: name, email address, password and any linked Apple or Google sign-in
• Every pet you own and everything recorded for it: vet visits and symptoms, vaccinations, medications, allergies and conditions, weight history, reminders and their history, daily care logs, memories and milestones, training progress, expenses and lost-pet reports
• All photos and files stored for those pets: pet and memory photos, shared passport and lost-pet images, and data exports
• Your Community activity: posts, comments, reactions, follows, group memberships, event RSVPs, blocks and your approximate "Near you" area. Groups and events you created stay for their members, no longer linked to you
• Your place in other people's households (their pets stay with them); your caregivers lose access to your pets
• Notification settings, push tokens and the daily guidance tips saved for your pets
• Your subscription record at RevenueCat (your purchase history stays with Apple or Google)

Crash reports and, if you allowed them, usage analytics carry only a random account ID — no name, email or pet details — so after deletion they can't be linked back to you. Backups are cleared within 90 days.

What is NOT deleted

Anonymous statistics: we may keep totals that can't identify anyone (for example, how many pets were added in a month). Crash reports and opt-in usage analytics are covered above.

Financial records: you buy PawPal Premium from Apple (or Google), and they keep your purchase history. Deleting your account removes our copy of your subscription status. For bookkeeping, Nlongvity keeps only the aggregated sales and payout reports from Apple and Google for 5 years, as the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act requires (bokføringsloven). These reports contain no names, emails or pet data.

Already-shared pet passports: If you shared a pet passport image (PNG export with watermark + short link) outside the app — to social media, messaging apps, or other platforms — Nlongvity does not control those external copies. To remove a shared passport image from a third-party platform, log into that platform and delete it directly.

Vet PDF exports: PDFs you generated and shared via your device are not stored on our servers and are not affected by account deletion. They remain wherever you saved them.

Legal hold: if a court order or a legal obligation requires us to keep specific data, we keep only that data, only for as long as required, and we tell you. Everything else is deleted as described above.

Subscription cancellation

Account deletion does not automatically cancel your subscription billed by Apple or Google. To cancel:

• Apple App Store subscription: Settings (iOS) → Apple ID → Subscriptions → PawPal → Cancel
• Google Play subscription: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → PawPal → Cancel

Subscription continues to the end of the paid period unless you cancel separately. Refunds for unused time are handled by Apple or Google per their policies, not by Nlongvity.

We strongly recommend cancelling your subscription before deleting your account, so that your billing records and account closure align cleanly.

Reversibility

Account deletion is irreversible. Once deleted, your pet profiles, health logs, photos, milestones, and memories cannot be recovered.

If you may want to return to PawPal later, consider exporting your data first via Profile → Account & settings → Privacy & data → Export my data before deleting. The export contains your pets, logs, reminders, and milestones in a portable format you can re-import (or simply keep as a personal record).
