Delete Your AURA Account
Last updated: October 17, 2026
You have the right to delete your AURA account at any time. This page describes how, what happens, and what to expect.
This page satisfies App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) requiring an in-app account deletion option, and exists in compliance with the right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR (the "right to be forgotten").
Your logs, conversations and journal are kept in an encrypted database on your phone, so deleting your account in the app deletes them from the phone as well. Copies you have already shared outside Aura (for example a doctor report PDF you emailed) are not affected.
How to delete your account
In the AURA app:
- Open AURA and go to Me
- Tap the Settings gear, then Delete account
- Tap Delete my account
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete forever
Your account is deleted at once, and you are signed out.
By email:
If you cannot access the app, email privacy@nlongvity.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."
We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days, per Article 12 GDPR.
What gets deleted
From our servers (immediately, when you delete in the app)
- Your account: email address, password credential and sign-in connections (Apple, Google)
- Your profile, including the health information you gave at setup
- Your subscription status as we record it
- Your consent records
- The records of your requests to our server, your daily usage counts, the records that a message was already counted, and any crisis record
- Your purchase record at RevenueCat, our subscription service: we ask RevenueCat to delete its record of you. This does not cancel an App Store subscription — see Subscription cancellation below.
Our servers also keep short sign-in records, one each time you sign up with email, reset your password or change your email address. When you delete your account, these records are not removed at once. A daily clean-up removes them within about a day.
If you signed in with Apple, Aura also asks Apple to revoke its access to your Apple ID.
From version 1.0.4, if you signed in with Google, Aura also asks Google to revoke its access to your Google account and removes the Google sign-in it kept on your phone.
From your device
When you delete your account in-app, AURA also deletes the encrypted database on your phone and everything in it, including:
- All symptom logs (pain, mood, energy, flares, medications, notes)
- All conversations with AURA
- Your journal
- Detected patterns
- Cycle data and predictions
It also deletes the doctor report PDFs saved in the app and, from version 1.0.4, the app's temporary files. It removes Aura's notifications, and from version 1.0.4 also the ones already delivered. It removes your sign-in from the phone and clears the app's settings, including your answer to the AI question.
If you uninstall the app without deleting your account first, on-device data is removed automatically by your operating system per its uninstall behavior. To be certain, delete in-app first.
From AI providers
Aura's AI features send their requests through our server to Anthropic, the company that makes the AI model Claude. Nothing is sent unless you allow Aura's AI. Our server keeps no copy. Anthropic deletes what it receives within 30 days. It can keep it longer if it is flagged as breaking Anthropic's usage policy, or if the law requires it. Flagged content can be kept for up to 2 years, and the safety scores given to it for up to 7 years. Anthropic does not use what it receives to train its models. Deleting your account does not delete what Anthropic has already received. Anthropic deletes it on the schedule above.
What is NOT deleted
Records held by other services: Crash reports already sent to Sentry stay there until they expire (at most 90 days). If you allowed usage data, analytics events already sent to PostHog are not deleted. To ask us to request deletion from these services, email privacy@nlongvity.com. What Aura's AI features already sent to Anthropic stays there until Anthropic deletes it, as described above.
Apple HealthKit data: AURA reads from HealthKit but does not control HealthKit. To remove data from HealthKit, open Apple Health → Browse → [data type] → manage from there.
Doctor reports you have already exported or shared: PDFs you have downloaded, emailed, or shared with a healthcare provider are outside our control. Manage these copies yourself.
Anonymized aggregate analytics: Statistics with no personal identifiers are retained indefinitely for service improvement.
Legal hold: If we are subject to a legal hold or active dispute involving your data, deletion may be deferred until the legal matter is resolved. We will inform you if this applies.
Subscription cancellation
Account deletion does not automatically cancel your subscription billed by a third-party platform. To cancel:
- Apple App Store subscription: Settings (iOS) → your name → Subscriptions → AURA → Cancel Subscription
Your subscription keeps renewing, and Apple keeps charging you, until you cancel it in your Apple account. Refunds for unused time are handled by Apple under its policies, not by Nlongvity.
Timeline summary
| Action | Timing |
|---|---|
| Account access ends | Immediately on confirmation |
| On-device health data deletion | Immediately on confirmation |
| Server data deletion (in the app) | Immediately on confirmation |
| Leftover sign-in records on our servers | Within about a day, by a daily clean-up |
| Server data deletion (by email request) | Within 30 days of the request |
| What Anthropic already received | Deleted by Anthropic within 30 days, unless flagged (see above) |
| Subscription cancellation (your action) | At your initiative — see above |
Reversibility
Account deletion is irreversible. Once deleted, your data, your conversation history with AURA, your detected patterns, and your generated reports cannot be recovered.
If you may want to return to AURA later but want time away from the app, consider:
- Exporting your doctor report PDFs first, from Saved reports in Settings (making a new report needs Aura Care)
- Asking us for a copy of the data our servers hold, by emailing hello@nlongvity.com
- Or simply signing out without deleting — you can sign back in later with your data intact
