Terms of Service
Last updated: October 17, 2026 · Effective date: At App Store launch
The short version
Aura is a wellness companion for women living with pelvic pain, hormonal symptoms and chronic discomfort. It does not diagnose, treat or replace medical care.
You must be 18 or over. Most of Aura is free. Aura Care is an optional subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it, and everything about payment — charging, renewing, refunding, cancelling — happens in your Apple account, not here.
If you are in danger, Aura is not an emergency service and cannot call anyone for you.
This summary is here to be read. It does not replace the sections below, and where the two differ the sections below are what apply.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the AURA mobile application and related services ("AURA", the "Service"). AURA is provided by Nikolai Langsem (trading as Nlongvity), a sole proprietorship registered in Norway, based in Oslo. A sole proprietor is the contracting party in person; Nlongvity is a trading name, not a separate legal entity. "We", "us" and "our" mean that individual. On the App Store the seller is shown as the individual's legal name, for the same reason.
By creating an AURA account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. They apply alongside Apple's own terms for the App Store, which govern your purchase.
1. What AURA is — and is not
AURA is an AI-powered conversational wellness app designed to help you understand your body, track symptoms and cycle patterns, and feel less alone in managing chronic pelvic pain, hormonal symptoms, or related experiences.
AURA is NOT:
- A medical device under EU Medical Devices Regulation 2017/745
- A diagnostic tool
- A replacement for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- A telemedicine service
- An emergency service
AURA does NOT:
- Diagnose any condition
- Prescribe medication
- Provide individualized medical advice
- Replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional
AURA is a wellness and self-knowledge tool. Its observations and pattern descriptions are informational only. You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional — a doctor, gynecologist, or other licensed provider — for any medical concerns, before changing any treatment, and for diagnosis of any condition.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately (113 in Norway).
If you are in mental health crisis, contact Mental Helse on 116 123 (Norway, free, 24/7) or your local crisis line.
2. Eligibility
To use AURA, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Norwegian law
- Provide accurate information during onboarding
- Not be barred from using the Service under any applicable law
3. Your account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities under your account
- Notifying us immediately at hello@nlongvity.com of any unauthorized access
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or Apple's App Store policies.
4. Subscription, trial, and payments
AURA has a free tier and an optional paid subscription.
Free tier: Core features are available without payment.
Paid subscriptions: Aura Care unlocks additional features. Pricing and features are displayed in the app and may be updated.
Billing: AURA is currently available on iOS only, and all subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Billing terms, refund policies, price changes and renewal mechanics are governed by Apple. We never see your payment details and we cannot charge, refund or cancel anything ourselves.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancel via your Apple ID subscription settings.
Free trial: Where a free trial is offered, Apple decides whether you are eligible and shows you the trial's length at the point of purchase. If Apple does not offer you a trial, none applies. When a free trial ends, the subscription starts automatically and Apple charges the price shown at purchase for each billing period, unless you cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings at least 24 hours before the trial ends — then you are not charged.
Price changes: Apple notifies subscribers of price increases and, where required, asks for consent before the new price takes effect. That process is Apple's, not ours.
Right of withdrawal (angrerett): Norwegian and EU consumer law generally provides a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts (angrerettloven). Because AURA is a digital service that begins delivery immediately upon subscription activation, by starting your subscription you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is therefore lost once delivery has begun, per angrerettloven §22(n).
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple per their policies. We do not issue direct refunds for App Store subscriptions.
5. Health data and your responsibility
By using AURA, you acknowledge:
- AURA processes special category health data under Article 9 GDPR based on your explicit consent, which you give on a dedicated screen during setup and may withdraw at any time
- The information AURA shows you (patterns, predictions, AI responses) is informational only
- You are responsible for any decisions you make based on AURA's output
- You should not rely on AURA for medical decisions; always consult a qualified healthcare professional
- AURA's predictions about your cycle, symptoms, or "harder days" are based on your own data and on what is typical for a cycle, and are not guaranteed accurate
- AURA does not detect, diagnose, or treat any medical condition
- If you experience worsening symptoms, new symptoms, or red-flag symptoms, seek medical care immediately rather than waiting to log them in AURA
The doctor report feature generates a structured summary of your logs that you can bring to a healthcare appointment. The report is descriptive — it observes and quotes your own logs. It is not a diagnostic document and does not substitute for clinical evaluation.
6. Crisis support — what it is and is not
If you write something that suggests you may be in crisis, AURA shows a support card with helpline numbers for your region. That card is stored in the app itself, so it works without a connection, and it is never blocked by a subscription or a usage limit.
AURA is not an emergency service. It cannot contact anyone on your behalf — not the emergency services, not a helpline, not a person you know. It cannot detect an emergency reliably, and it may not recognise one at all.
If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
7. AI-generated content
AURA uses third-party AI services (currently Anthropic Claude) to generate conversational responses and pattern observations. By using the Service:
- You acknowledge that AI may produce errors, misinterpretations, or content that does not match your situation
- You are solely responsible for your decisions and actions, regardless of what AURA tells you
- We make no warranty of accuracy, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement of generated content
- AURA's AI output is informational only and is not medical advice
In compliance with EU AI Act Article 50, we disclose that you are interacting with an AI system. This is also stated inside the app. Before Aura's AI is used for the first time, Aura asks your permission. It says that, to write its replies, Aura sends what you ask to Anthropic, the company that makes the AI model Claude.
Content ownership: You retain ownership of all content you create in AURA — your logs, your messages, your reports. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process this content within the Service for the purpose of operating it for you. We do not use your content to train AI models, and under our agreement with Anthropic they may not either.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use AURA to:
- Violate any law of Norway, the EU, or any applicable jurisdiction
- Infringe intellectual property rights
- Harass or harm others
- Impersonate another person
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code of the Service
- Build a competing product using AURA's outputs
- Scrape or abuse the Service or its third-party APIs
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to manipulate the Service
- Resell access to the Service without our written agreement
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
9. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." AURA is under active development: features may be added, changed or removed, and we may modify, suspend or discontinue features, or do so immediately if required by law or security concerns.
If we remove something material that a paid subscription was bought for, we will say so in the app, and you may cancel before the next renewal.
We do not guarantee that AURA will be available during a medical emergency or crisis. Do not rely on AURA in emergencies — contact emergency services directly (113 in Norway).
10. Third-party services
AURA integrates with third-party services including the Apple App Store, Apple HealthKit, Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, and Anthropic. Their respective terms apply when using those features. We are not responsible for third-party service availability, accuracy, or actions. The Privacy Policy lists the processors and what each one receives.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law:
- The Service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, except where mandatory consumer protection law (forbrukerkjøpsloven, angrerettloven) provides otherwise
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages
- We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption
- We are not liable for any health outcome, medical decision, or harm arising from your use of AURA, your reliance on AURA's information, your delay in seeking medical care, or any AI-generated content
- We are not liable for damages caused by third-party services (Apple, Anthropic, and the others listed in the Privacy Policy)
- Your symptom logs, your conversations with Aura, your journal and your cycle history are kept on your own device. We keep no copy of them on our servers. So we cannot be responsible for those records when a device is lost or reset, or when the app is deleted. (The setup details on our servers — listed in the Privacy Policy — are not affected by this.)
- Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid for AURA in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or NOK 500, whichever is greater
These limitations do not exclude liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, personal injury, death, or any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Norwegian consumer law. Your mandatory rights as a consumer under Norwegian and EEA law apply in full and are not waived by anything here.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Decisions you make based on AURA's output, including delaying or forgoing medical care
- Your violation of third-party rights or applicable law
This indemnification does not apply to claims caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
13. Termination
By you: You may terminate your account anytime via Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing privacy@nlongvity.com. See /aura/delete-account. You may also cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple account; cancelling a subscription is something only you or Apple can do.
By us: We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if:
- You materially breach these Terms
- We are required to do so by law or court order
- Continuing the Service to you would expose us to legal risk
If we do, we will say why, unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Personal data is deleted per our Privacy Policy. Your on-device data remains under your control.
Sections that by their nature survive termination (limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) survive.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
If you do not agree with material changes, your remedy is to terminate your account before the effective date.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Disputes shall first be attempted resolved amicably by contacting hello@nlongvity.com.
If amicable resolution fails:
- For consumers: disputes may be brought in the consumer's home jurisdiction within the EEA, or in Norway. Norwegian consumers retain mandatory rights under Norwegian consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
- For business users: disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts
Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from invoking mandatory consumer protections in their country of residence.
Norwegian consumers may also bring a complaint to the Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) or the Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrukerklageutvalget).
16. Norwegian Consumer Authority
Information about Norwegian consumer rights is available from:
Forbrukertilsynet (Norwegian Consumer Authority)
www.forbrukertilsynet.no
17. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy and any in-app notices, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
