Opti — Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026 · Effective: at App Store and Google Play launch
These terms are an agreement between you and Nlongvity, a sole proprietorship registered in Norway ("we", "us"), for your use of the Opti game ("Opti"). By creating an account you accept them.
1. Who can play
You must be 18 or older. You need one account per person. Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
2. The game
Opti lets you discover, hatch, raise, breed and collect virtual creatures. Every creature is unique. Rarity, serial numbers, hatch results, breeding results and world-first discoveries are decided by our servers using published probabilities; we do not alter them for individual players.
Some features shown in the app may be marked as not yet available. We may add, change or retire features to improve the game.
3. Virtual items and Echo Shards
- Creatures, seeds, Echo Shards and other in-game items are virtual items. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them inside Opti. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be sold or transferred outside the game.
- You can buy Echo Shards with real money through the App Store or Google Play. Shards can be spent only on the fixed items listed in the in-game store. Real money never buys randomized items and never changes rarity odds. A Discovery Path makes one chosen common or uncommon species more likely within its rarity tier for 7 days; the exact before and after chances are shown before you buy. Opti has no loot boxes.
- Purchases are processed and billed by Apple or Google under their terms. Refund requests go to the store you bought from. Where a store refunds a purchase, we may remove the matching shards.
- By completing a purchase you ask us to deliver the shards immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once delivery has started, where the law allows this.
- Shards and items are tied to your account and available on every device you sign in to. They are lost if your account is deleted.
4. Fair play and conduct
You agree not to:
- cheat, exploit bugs, automate play, or modify, reverse engineer or tamper with the app or our servers;
- choose a display name or creature name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, harassing, impersonates someone, or infringes anyone's rights;
- harass other players or misuse player search;
- use Opti for anything unlawful.
You can report a player or name from their profile, and block players you do not want to interact with. We review reports and may rename, hide or remove content, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Contact: support@nlongvity.com.
5. Our rights
Opti, its creatures, art, names, code and design are owned by Nlongvity or its licensors. These terms do not give you any ownership of them beyond the licence in section 3.
6. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in World tab → Settings → Delete my account; deletion becomes permanent after a 7-day grace period (see https://nlongvity.com/opti/delete-account). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close the game entirely we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app.
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep Opti available and correct but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. If something goes wrong because of us, we will try to restore affected items. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you in the app before material changes take effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using Opti and delete your account.
9. Law and disputes
Norwegian law applies, without removing protections you have under the law of the country where you live. Disputes go to the Norwegian courts unless your local consumer law gives you the right to sue at home. EU consumers can also use their national consumer dispute bodies.
